Peter Doumani

We are honored to have Peter Doumani and Associates as a prominent member of the R&R Global Hospitality Rescue Task Force. Mr. Doumani’s firm has a long history working with R&R Global on hotel Receiverships that span over 15 years. During that time we have worked together on numerous limited, boutique and full service hotels that required both Receivership and REO management services. Mr. Doumani's years of personal experience in business, real estate, distressed properties and financial workouts have given him
the multifaceted expertise to effectively manage nearly any type of Receivership estate.

EXPERIENCE:

Mr. Doumani’s firm has served as a Receiver in Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, Ventura, Placer and San Bernardino counties where for over 40 years he has worked in real estate. He has 15 years experience in performing Receivership services for business and real estate assets and clients include national banks, prominent financial institutions, life insurance companies and law firms.

Among the dozens of assets they have experience representing are; hotels, golf courses, car washes, gas stations, bowling alleys, industrial buildings, office buildings, retail centers, small condominium projects and apartment complexes as large as 460 units.

Mr. Doumani’s firm has also served as a Receiver over construction contracting firms and a private golf and country club whose operations included a restaurant, bar and a banquet operation which hosted over 60 events last year.

A large part of the services performed during certain Receiverships have included the winding up of the business affairs of the companies, disposing of large quantities of assets and the collection of substantial accounts receivables.

In addition to his Receivership practice Mr. Doumani's firm has acted as an independent real estate consultant and their activities have involved the due diligence analysis of entire real estate and loan portfolios as part of the acquisition of financial institutions.  They have been responsible for the preparation of business plans for individual projects and the implementation of those plans.

This involved areas of management, construction and the completion of construction on residential projects and disposition of various other real estate assets.

SERVICES:

As previously noted, Mr. Doumani firm is particularly adept at performing Receiverships for Hotels. Currently they are acting as Receiver of a 250 room full service hotel where R&R Global serves as his management company. They have also been responsible for operating “lifestyle” hotels for lenders after foreclosure. His duties are typically focused on:

• Analyzing operations
• Hiring and directed consultants and managers
• Overseeing facilities remodel
• Coordinating hotel management repositioning tactics
• Administrating brokerage and buyer’s due diligence
• Negotiating and closing the sale of the property

Consulting services extend to the preparation and execution of restructuring and work-out strategies, including litigation management and coordination between various affected departments of major financial institutions.  These activities involved numerous litigation situations in which receiverships and bankruptcies were involved.
Mr. Doumani personally has been a partner in a property management company and was involved in the management of numerous residential projects ranging from the renovation of low-income apartment units in high crime areas to management of luxury high-rise condominiums.  Mr. Doumani has extensive experience in the property management of distressed properties and turn-around situations.

EDUCATION / LICENSED

Mr. Doumani has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University of Los Angeles, School of Law.  Mr. Doumani is also a licensed real estate broker and insurance broker in California and has held liquor licenses as a Receiver.
